Suddenly alone, we face each other in a thick silence. She glances toward the hallway and whispers that someone might be listening right outside… but then softens with a small smile and says it’s fine. The moment she leans in for a gentle French kiss, warmth surges through me, and the desire I’d been holding back floods to the surface.
